We live in a universe of duality – yin and yang – in order to have one, we must have the other.
The ‘contrast’ between beauty and ugly; good and bad; long and short…
The Tao goes on to say,
Being and non-being are mutually produced. The difficult and the easy compliment each other. The long and the short define each other. The high and the low oppose each other. The bow and the stern follow each other.
This is the nature of the universe. The flow.
Therefore, the master can act without doing anything and teach without saying a word. Things come and he doesn't stop them; things go away and he lets them go. Has without owning and acts without expectations. When he finishes his work, he takes no credit for it. That's why it will last forever.
Think about that.
We live everyday of our lives fighting for control over nature and the universe.
Today, I will practice letting go – I will allow things to come and go.
In Joy,
Cindy
