I study esoteric metaphysics — the structure of consciousness, the subtle bodies, and the inner evolution of the soul.

Remember the Spirit knows no difference between having and being.
-A Course In Miracles
Having: is an external condition. When we ‘have’, it is obtained through an outward action that implies that it was never ours to begin with. We had to acquire it.
In ACIM terms, this belongs to the realm of perception — the world of form, where things appear divided and where we believe we must get in order to be fulfilled.
Having is always tied to the ego’s framework:
- “I don’t have it yet.”
- “I need to get it.”
- “I could lose it.”
It’s inherently unstable because it depends on conditions.
Being: is the internal condition of ONE-NESS. There is no separation. Like the wave of the ocean, it belongs to the WHOLE. It will never be separated from its Source.
It is identity, not acquisition. It is knowledge, not perception. It is the state ACIM calls the real — the changeless, the eternal, the already-complete.
Being is not something we achieve; it is something we remember.
In Being, nothing is separate, nothing is missing, and nothing can be taken away. It is the state in which Spirit recognizes only wholeness.
The Course teaches that Spirit cannot understand the ego’s categories — including “having” versus “being” — because Spirit only knows extension, not acquisition.
To Spirit:
- What you are is what you have.
- What you have is what you are.
- There is no gap between identity and experience.
This is why the quote says Spirit “knows no difference.” In Oneness, there is no movement from lack → fulfillment. There is only the continuous radiance of what already is.

I’m remembering today that Spirit doesn’t measure life the way the world does.
To Spirit, having and being are the same.
I’m already receiving everything I thought I needed to seek.
